Possible middle initial R? 1870 census
Age varies enormously: date shown is from tombstone; its accuracy uncertain as it appears more modern. The 1824 date on the tombstone is earlier than any other source. 1850 census says age 23 (born c. 1827); 1860 census age 32 (b. c. 1828); 1864 special Georgia militia census gives age 38 (born c. 1826); 1870 census gives age 43 (1827) and 1880 age 53 (1827). That yields one 1824, one 1826, three 1827 and one 1828.
