Irena Dunn married in Gilmer in 1838, almost certainly too early to be anyone but a daughter of John DUNN, and the earlier census records show daughters who do not appear in 1850 and later census records. The 1820 census shows a daughter under 10 (but Dunn md. 1819, so presumably an infant)who does not however appear in 1830, but would be the right age to be Irena. There are no other Dunns in 1834 and 1840 census, so she seems likely to be one of the daughters not otherwise accounted for. John DUNN and John CLONTS are near each other in the 1840 census list, and John CLONTS, like Irena, is buried in the Old Cartecay Cemetery.
Irena shows in later censuses suggesting a birth in 1820-1825 period, and her 1838 marriage puts the birth likely earlier rather than later. One othjer daughter, still at home in 1840, seems to haver been born by 1820, the year after the parens' marriage.
